By Public Transportation

Trains (vr.fi) from Helsinki arriving to Kolari have a bus connection (matkahuolto.fi) to Ylläsjärvi and Äkäslompolo. The bus to Äkäslompolo also serves the visitor centre.
A ski bus (yllas.fi) operates between the villages in Ylläs and the ski resorts. All buses can be used to access the visitor centre.
There is a bus connection to Ylläsjärvi and Äkäslompolo (matkahuolto.fi) from flights to Kittilä (finavia.fi). During the slow seasons of early winter and spring, transportation must be booked in advance.
