Campfire Sites and Cooking Shelters
- There are few campfire huts, several lean-to shelters and campfire sites on the shores of the hiking areas lakes; all accessible by hiking trail. All these rest spots have a supply of firewood and a dry toilet.
- Making open fires is always prohibited at both marked campfire sites and when fires are permitted by the land owner if a wildfire warning (ilmatieteenlaitos.fi) has been issued for the area.
- This prohibition does not apply to cooking shelters or other fireplaces with a flue.

- There is a café/restaurant at the Kylmäluoma Outdoor Centre (hossa-kylmaluoma.fi).
Shops and Kiosks
- The closest shop is the Tyrövaara village shop, which is 18 km from the hiking area. Tel. int. +358 8 846 132.
- A kiosk, which sells basic necessities, is located at the outdoor centre reception desk. The kiosk is open from the beginning of February to the end of October. Check with the outdoor centre for opening hours.
Drinking Water
- There are no wells in the hiking area, but the water in the area's bigger lakes and streams is usually safe to drink, but it has not been tested. Drinking these waters is at your own risk.
- Kylmäluoma Hiking Area is connected to the general sewer system.
Waste Management
- It is the responsibility of each hiker to dispose of waste that accumulates during your trip. There are no waste bins in the area. Biodegradable waste should be placed in a dry toilet or composter, and small amounts of clean paper and cardboard can be used as kindling in a campfire. Read more about Hiking without littering.
- There are recycling points for plastic, metal and glass at the outdoor centre.

- The reception area at the Kylmäluoma Outdoor Centre is accessible by wheelchair. There is an accessible toilet in the building.
- The roads leading to cabins at the outdoor centre are paved. The area is slightly hilly.
- One of the rental cabins at the outdoor centre, Sarvi cabin, and a rental sauna are equipped so that they are accessible to use them with the help of an assistant.
- There is a fishing pier at the outdoor centre on the shore of Lake Iso-Pajuluomajärvi, which is accessible by wheelchair.
