Jogašjávri (Jogasjärvi) Rental Hut
Small and cosy Jogasjärvi rental hut is located in the Käsivarsi Wilderness Area on the southern shore of lake Jogasjärvi. Jogasjärvi open wilderness hut is located near the rental hut. Jogasjärvi is situated about 36 km from the nearest road and the village of Kilpisjärvi.

Price
120 € / day or 720 € / week (incl. VAT 10%).
Keys
Key for the hut is in a coded key box located outside at the hut door. You will receive further instructions and the code when booking.
Facilities
Candle light, iron stove which is also the heater, gas stove. There is no sauna or boat. There is a wood shed, a dry toilet and recycling point on the grounds. The firewood are only for heating the hut, not for open campfires.
It is recommended to boil water from natural sources before consumption. The lake shore is approximately 100 metres away from the hut.
Please notice, that it takes some time before the hut is properly warm. Bring your own bed linen and sleeping bag, candles, matches, toilet paper and headlamp with you. Also a first aid kit is recommended.
Metsähallitus follows the principles of litter-free hiking. Visitors are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Recycling points can be found at Kilpisjärvi and Fell Lapland Visitor Centre. Read more about Hiking without Littering.
Notices
It is 36 km from Jogasjärvi to Kilpisjärvi village on a roadless and partly non-marked terrain by walking or skiing. In Kilpisjärvi village there is Kilpisjärvi Visitor Centre, a shop, a fuel distribution point and restaurants. It is 200 km to Hetta village, the centre of the municipality of Enontekiö. In Hetta there is Fell Lapland Visitor Centre.
Norkalott Trail goes about 7 km west from the Jogasjärvi rental hut. There is no marked trail all the way and it is challenging terrain to navigate to the rental hut.
Visitors must come prepared with warm clothing, food, drink, toilet paper, maps, compass, orienteering skills and matches. Fog or storms can form in just a few hours.
Pets are allowed in the hut. The hut is located in a reindeer herding area, take into account the free-grazing reindeer and keep your dog on a leash, read more about hiking in the reindeer herding area.
Mobile network coverage is poor in wilderness areas. Check your operator website for coverage areas.
Fishing Area
When fishing in the rivers, you have to pay the fisheries management fee (eraluvat.fi) and have a Käsivarsi-Tarvanto 1401 (eraluvat.fi) permit. When fishing at Poroeno you must have a Poroeno 1432 (eraluvat.fi) permit. Fishing permits are sold by the customer service points of Metsähallitus and Eräluvat webshop (eraluvat.fi).
Hunting area
Hunting area 1613 Käsivarsi (eraluvat.fi). The majority of game species are grouse and mountain hare. Those hunting with a dog must contact the reindeer herding cooperative. Hunting permits are sold by Metsähallitus customer service points, for example Fell Lapland Visitor Centre.
