The wilderness hut is situated on the east side of Oahoaivi Fell on the east bank of the River Uáhujuuhâ (Oahujohka) at a point where two smaller rivers flow into it.
The wilderness hut is a log cabin built in 1973, and also suitable for use in winter.

Notices
- Pets are permitted in the hut, but only if other visitors consent to it.
- Safety on hiking.
