Reservations for the end of the year 2024 for the reservation and rental huts maintained by Metsähallitus' Parks & Wildlife Finland must be made and paid for by Friday 18. November. Exceptionally, bookings for the reservation and rental huts for the year 2025 can only be made starting from 26. November. More information

Sissanki Rental Campfire Hut can be used as a break place on an excursion and for 15 people´s meetings. The hut is located along the Hetta - Näkkälä Trail.

Northern Lapland Region, Municipality of Enontekiö, Hetta area.

Sissanki Rental Campfire Hut is located along the Hetta - Näkkälä Trail. The rental campfire hut is also near the Hetta - Näkkälä snowmobile track.

It is easiest to get to the Näkkälä Trail from the Fell Lapland Visitor Centre. Do not go without a map!

Price and keys

30 € / 4 h or 50 € / day (incl. VAT 10%).

The key is in the coded key box outside the hut. Instructions and code will be sent when booking.

Facilities

An open fireplace, a dry toilet in the immediate vicinity of the Hut.

There is no heat-storing device at Sissanki Rental Campfire Hut.

Directions and Public Transportation

It is about 7 km hike to the Campfire Hut from the Fell Lapland Visitor Centre located in Hetta. 

You can get to the Fell Lapland Visitor Centre by car from Kittilä, Muonio and Kilpisjärvi.
There are daily coaches (matkahuolto.fi) between Rovaniemi and Hetta.
There are flights (finavia.fi) to Kittilä airport everyday. There are coach connections to Hetta.

The closest railway stations (vr.fi) are in Rovaniemi and Kolari. There are coach connections to Hetta.

Notices

There is a drinking water point along the Pahtajärvi Trail that is approx. 100 m. from the hut.

Pets are not permitted in the hut. 

Visitors must come prepared with warm clothing, food, drink, maps, compass, orienteering skills and matches. Fog or storms can form in just a few hours. Take also your own toilet paper.

Waste Management

Metsähallitus follows the principles of litter-free hiking. Visitors are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Recycling points can be found at Fell Lapland Visitor Centre. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
