Directions to Riisitunturi National Park

Riisitunturi National Park is located about 20 km from Posio, 60 km from Kuusamo, 35 km from Rukatunturi and from Salla 106 km. The closest villages are Tolva, Suonnankylä, and Keski-Kitka. The nearest airport is located in Kuusamo. The nearest railway station is in Kemijärvi, about 130 km from the national park.

By Car to Riisitunturi

Riisitunturi parking area. The nearest address is Patoniementie 180, Posio. Google Maps and other navigators often give incorrect directions. The directions to follow: to reach the parking area on the border of Riisitunturi National Park, drive for 3 km along the gravel road off Patoniementie. The road to the Riisitunturi starting point is ploughed throughout the winter. Google Maps showing the Riisitunturi starting point (maps.google.com).

Please note! The Noukavaara starting point is no longer used as a starting point for the national park. The road Holtinojantie leading to the former Noukavaara starting point is in very bad condition.
