Welcome to Northern Lapland Nature Centre Siida

The Sámi Museum and Northern Lapland Nature Centre work together for organizing activities at Siida. The Sámi Museum and the Nature Centre have worked together to produce the permanent exhibition.In addition the diverse services of Metsähallitus and the information on the travel and tourism services are available at Siida.

Our permanent exhibition links Sámi culture and northern nature to one another forming one whole, which offers a vivid and visual experience as well as an abundance of information. Sarrit is a comfortable cafe-restaurant where you can recharge for a moment during your visit to our exhibitions.

1.6.–30.9. every day 9 am–6 pm. 

1.10.–31.12. Mon–Sat 10 am–5 pm (Sundays closed)

Customer service is exceptionally closed 1.-3.10.2024 and 27.-30.10.2024.

Ticket sales ends 45 minutes before closing.

Visit: Open daily in the summer season, closed on Mondays in the winter season. Tickets: €10/€8/€5. A guided tour of the exhibition costs €105/group/1h 15 min and must be booked in advance. Read more.

Suitability: A lively and engaging destination for families with children that will keep everyone entertained throughout the day. A toilet for the disabled, indoor facilities are accessible to all. Pets are not permitted in the Nature Centre.

Services: High-quality items for daily use and gifts for sale at Siida Shop, café-restaurant Sarrit, hiking information, tourist information point of the Inari municipality, WLAN, and fishing, hunting, and other permits. Services provided by cooperating partners are also available. Read more.
