Directions to Kylmäluoma Hiking Area

The Kylmäluoma Hiking Area is located in the northeastern corner of Taivalkoski, by Highway 5, 45 km south of Kuusamo towards Kajaani. From the centre of Taivalkoski, the distance along Jokijärventie (road 8400) to the area is about 50 km. The nearest airport is located in Kuusamo and the nearest railway station in Kajaani.

The hiking trails can be accessed from the Kylmäluoma camping ground’s parking area.

By Coach to Kylmäluoma

The Kajaani-Kuusamo-Kajaani express service operates twice a day along Highway 20. The distance from the stops to the camping ground is 2-4 km (stops: Kaleton 205 km, Polojärvi 207 km).

Regular service operates on school days from the centre of Taivalkoski along Highway 20.
