Protected forest area
The Kivitunturi Nature Trail showcases the full range of Eastern Lapland's fell and forest nature in all its glory: traces of the Ice Age, ravines, rocky ridges, wilderness spruce forests, creek hollows and spectacular landscapes.
Visitors can hike around Kivitunturi Fell on the 5.9 km short trail (with red markings) or continue on the more challenging long trail (with yellow markings), which has a total length of 9.5 km. The trail has stairs, bridges, rest areas and information boards that present information on Kivitunturi's nature and geology.
Suitability: The Kivitunturi Nature Trail is suitable for the whole family. The trail has height differences, rocky parts and stairs. Shoes with ankle support will help you on the trails.
