The Campfire Shelter is located in Hetta, on top of Jyppyrä Hill, about 700 metres from the Fell Lapland Visitor Centre.

There is an extraordinary view of the Hetta area and the surrounding nature from the top of Jyppyrä. You can see the whole Pallas-Ounastunturi Fell chain from a viewpoint near the Campfire Shelter. The trail sets off from the Fell Lapland Visitor Centre.
Facilities
Campfire Shelter has a fireplace and grilling sticks. A dry toilet and a woodshed outside the shelter.
Notices
Hetta Hiihtomaa, Hetta Ski Resort is located near the Campfire Shelter. During winter time it is possible to walk with snowshoes in the area.
There is no water source on top of Jyppyrä Hill. It is possible to borrow a coffeepot and a water container from the Fell Lapland Visitor Centre.
Visitors must come prepared with warm clothing, food, drink, maps, compass, orienteering skills and matches. Fog or storms can form in just a few hours. Take also your own toilet paper.
Waste Management
Metsähallitus follows the principles of litter-free hiking. Visitors are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Recycling points can be found at Yllästunturi, Pallastunturi and Fell Lapland Visitor Centre. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.

Tourist entrepreneurs operating in national parks or other areas managed by Metsähallitus need a cooperation agreement. A fee is charged for using the routes and service infrastructure for business activities.
