The coordinates mentioned on this page are given using the WGS-84 Coordinate System as well as in the ETRS-TM3FIN planar coordinate system. Blue nautical charts are always drawn using the WGS-84 Coordinate System, while green nautical charts are still drawn using the Finnish national KKJ Coordinate System. Please note that lighting campfires is also forbidden at campfire sites if the wildfire warning is in effect. Check the current warnings (ilmatieteenlaitos.fi). This prohibition does not apply to cooking shelters or other fireplaces with a shelter and a flue.

Drinking Water

  • Drinking water is available in the National Park cooperation area on the inhabited islands´ guestharbours. Details (guestharbours.fi).

Waste management

  • There are no waste-bins in the area. Measures should be taken in advance to avoid taking unnecessary waste into the area. Biodegradable waste should be placed in a dry toilet or composter, and small amounts of clean paper and cardboard can be used as kindling in a campfire. Take all other waste out of the area.   • Keep the Archipelago Tidy Association (pidasaaristosiistina.fi) takes care of the waste management in the archipelago. Find out about the locations of recycling points and septitanks.

Toilets

There are dry toilets at all of the campfire sites except in Jurmo.

In the National Park camping is allowed only on areas marked for this purpose. There are camping sites on the following islands:

On Boat

You can beach your boat on the islands of the National Park. Avoid landing on birds' nesting islets during spring and summer.

Open Wilderness Hut

There are three open wilderness huts in the National Park.

  • Konungsskär Open Wilderness Hut in Konungsskär Island, with room for 4 people
  • In Notvarpharun Island with room for 2 people
  • In Gärskär Island with room for 2 people

  • Enterprises hires motor and sailing boats, canoes and diving equipments.

Services for the Disabled

  • There are no special services in the area for the disabled.
