The new Eräluvat.fi web service will open on 19.11.2024. Shared rental hut and rental hut bookings for the rest of 2024 must be made before then, as they cannot be booked in the new sales system. Hut bookings for 2025 can be made from 26.11. at 9 a.m. onwards. In future, you will be able to manage your own reservations easily from your home sofa.  

The transition period between the new and the old webshop will lead to changes in the end-of-year for shared rental huts and rental huts sales. Huts with currently pending reservations must be paid by 18 November 2024, even if the invoice is not due until later. Hut bookings for the rest of 2024 must be made by 18 November, before the new sales system opens. Huts sales for 2025 will open on 26.11. at 9 a.m. 

When the new webshop is launched, you will find presentations of the shared rental huts and rental huts and booking calendars on Eräluvat.fi, where you can also buy fishing and hunting permits. The free huts will continue to be presented on Nationalparks.fi.

Although the booking and rental huts are listed on Eräluvat.fi, it is best to start planning your trip on Nationalparks.fi. You can find information on outdoor destinations, routes and difficulty, as well as useful hiking information. The majority of for shared rental huts and rental huts are located in wilderness areas and remote areas in northern Finland and Lapland, where it can be difficult to get around, especially during the snowy season and in the Spring and Autumn. 

Metsähallitus Parks & Wildlife Finland maintains about 150 for shared rental huts and rental huts for hikers in national parks, other nature reserves and wilderness areas. Some of these are available all year round, others only during the summer season. These are primarily intended for private use and for overnight stays during excursions. The rental huts are fully occupied by the tenant and the for shared rental huts have individual beds available for rent. 

The use of service structures owned by Parks & Wildlife Finland, such as huts and rest sites, for business activities always requires a cooperation agreement and payment of a usage fee. Large groups travelling independently are recommended to use either their own tents or reserve cabins for overnight stays.
