(Updated 6.8.2024)
In Archipelago National Park, small areas of juniper bushes are being burned on small ridge islands during the first half of August. The burnings are mainly taking place around Husskär. The burnings started on the 5th of August and are expected to continue until approximately the 14th of August. During the burnings, field managers from Metsähallitus Parks and Wildlife Finland are present, and the burnings are conducted under supervision. The burnings produce a considerable amount of smoke in some areas, which may be visible from afar.
