Gurdu / Kurtojoki Open Wilderness Hut

Open wilderness hut for 6 persons.
Location
Northern Lapland, Inari region, Muotkatunturi Wilderness Area.
Kurtojoki, coordinates: Euref-Fin (~ WGS84) lat: 69° 01.8254' lon: 26° 03.9753' ETRS-TM35FIN: N: 7658038 E: 462708.
The hut is located on the northern shore of River Kurtojohka, south of Jorba-Kaisavarri Fell.
The hut was renovated in 2003. It is suitable for winter use.
Facilities
- A wood-burning stove and a gas stove.
Notices
- Pets are allowed in the hut, but only with the consent of the other visitors.
- Safety on hiking.
- There are bins for mixed waste at the hut, but hikers are asked to bring their own waste to one of the area's recycling points. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
